Drawing a compass graphic with inkscape.

Here is a neat workflow showing how to create a fairly detailed compass graphic by adding and editing simple shapes. This is a great tutorial for inkscape beginners, as it is well communicated, and intoduces simple inkscape operations like node editing. As always the link to the tut is after the break.

I am a beginner and I find that this tutorial is assuming all sorts of prior knowledge that I do not have. I would certainly not promote it as being ideal for beginners … although the compass does look cool.

    Good tut…
I like that it assumed a few things. Since it was my 1st time to open the prog I had to search things out a lil and learn the prog.

This is a neat compass, but the tut took a lot of work to understand; partly because I’m beginning with Inkscape, but I also think many of the instructions are very unclear
