Here is the second tutorial in Niko’s Inkscape Filter Effects series. Today’s tutorial focuses on the color matrix filter. The quote below (taken from the tutorial) best sums it up…
Color Matrix is an interesting filter, that can mix up the colours in your image in many ways. Blanc and white images, sepia toning, hue rotation and removing one of the basic colours from image are a couple examples, what kind of modifications this filter can do.

Indeed. Wow is inkscape a sexy tool, I’m astonished. I just finished an entire project under Linux Mandriva w/o resorting to neither Illustrator nor Photoshop. Inkscape has been a steady and predictable workhorse all along. I cannot start to thank the guys who gave us so magnificent tools. Oh and I think that I finally tamed the GIMP, too. All it needed was a little *focus* on the (most excellent) workflow. Brings back memories of Sodipodi 0.0.x (and xFig !! ‘Member xFig ?) and Deluxe Paint V no, wait, wait, I went back a little too far
Way to spread the love, boys. At least one person is very proud of you.
